Privacy policy

ProQuiz lets a language teacher create quizzes with an AI assistant and share them with students. This page explains what is stored, where, and how to have it removed. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice.
What we store
About teachers
- The email address and name you enter when you sign in.
- The quizzes you create (title, language, level, topic, questions, answers, explanations) and their settings.
- Sign-in sessions (OAuth access and refresh tokens) so that your assistant can act for you. Tokens are stored as hashes; sign-in links are single-use and expire after 15 minutes.
- The mail program you chose (for example Gmail), so we do not ask again.
About students
- For each attempt through a shared link: the answers and the score, with the time. There is no student account and no sign-in, so attempts are anonymous.
- If the teacher turns on the name prompt, also the name the student typed. It is not verified. The student's browser remembers the typed name on that device only, to fill it in next time.
What we do not store
- The email addresses a teacher gives the assistant to prepare an email. They only appear in the link that opens the message in the teacher's own mail program. ProQuiz does not send quiz emails.
- Passwords. ProQuiz has none.
- Advertising or tracking data. We use no analytics and no tracking cookies. A short-lived security cookie is used while a teacher signs in.
Technical data
- To limit abuse, request counters are kept per IP address for a few minutes.
- Our hosting provider may keep request logs (for example IP address and requested address) for a limited time. Our own logs mask email addresses and never contain tokens.
Why
To run the service: to sign teachers in, to let students take quizzes, to score answers, and to show the teacher statistics (attempts, average score, hardest questions, and scores per typed name if names were requested). We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and storage for the service.
- Resend: delivers the sign-in emails sent to teachers (email address and name).
- The teacher's AI assistant and mail provider are chosen and controlled by the teacher and have their own policies.
How long we keep it, and deletion
- Quizzes and their attempts are kept until the teacher deletes the quiz. Deleting a quiz removes the quiz, its shared link and all attempts.
- To delete your teacher account and everything linked to it, email us from the address you signed in with.
- Short-lived items (sign-in links, request counters) are not meant to be kept long.
Students and children
ProQuiz is a tool for teachers. By default it collects nothing that identifies a student. A teacher who asks students for a name decides what to ask and is responsible for having any permission or consent that the law where the students live requires, especially for children.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. A student who typed a name through a teacher's link should ask that teacher first, since names are visible to the teacher; we can also remove attempts on request.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Teachers can only see their own quizzes. Correct answers are kept on the server until a quiz is submitted, except in practice mode, where the page checks answers itself and the teacher is told that answers can then be read by a student who inspects the page.
